Accounting Manager (Controller)
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations of the company. They will be a key member of the leadership team, reporting to the CEO, and working closely with other functional areas of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasting and variance analysis
- Prepare and file all necessary tax and regulatory reports
- Coordinate and manage annual audits
- Oversee and manage the bookkeeping team and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a real estate or brokerage industry
- CPA designation is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and practices
- Ability to manage and lead a team of accounting professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office, and other financial tools and applications
The Accounting Manager must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to manage multiple priorities, and be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-oriented, and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality financial support and service to the brokerage.
